It's been a busy December as the Christmas holiday approaches. Right at the beginning of the month, I had the pleasure of singing another recital on the Classical Sundays series at the Antique Sandwich Company in Tacoma. I was joined by soprano Megan Chenovick and we were accompanied by Karen Kuenzi. A little more well-attended this time, as last time I performed on Super Bowl Sunday :)
Rehearsals are in full swing for Lyric Opera Northwest's production of "Le nozze di Figaro" to be performed at Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue January 15-17, 2009. I will be singing the role of the Count and it's really great to have the chance to work with some great friends and colleagues.
Also upcoming is Menotti's "Telephone" with the Seattle Ladies Musical Club. Performances take place in various venues in February. Stay tuned!

Fall Performances
Welcome to my new blog! This will be a great opportunity for me to be able to let you know about upcoming performance engagements and exciting events.
It has been a busy Fall for me thus far. September was filled with extra hours of voice teaching at UPS as I filled in for a friend and colleague who had an addition to the family :) In early October, I joined with soprano Megan Chenovick and mezzo-soprano Carla Hilderbrand for a cabaret concert benefiting the Seattle Opera Guild Singers Training Fund Grant, of which we are all recipients. We were accompanied by Glenda Williams. Those of you who missed it will just have to hope for the opportunity to hear our best Ethel Merman impersonation some other time :)
Several weeks later, I had the pleasure of participating in a performance called "Tales of the Full Moon" with Rainier Family Opera, a newly formed company here in Tacoma. Selections from The Magic Flute and Tales of Hoffmann were what I was involved in, and I look forward to performing with them again in the spring of 2009. I also have begun a series of concerts singing the baritone solos at Our Lady of Fatima church in Magnolia and thus far, we've performed J.N. Bach's Missa Brevis and a Requiem by Michael Haydn. Bach's Magnificat and Vivaldi's Gloria are upcoming in December.
Stay tuned for updates whenever they arise!
